Elect Marty Siecke
to the Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders

Thank you all for your support.

Hunterdon County faces new challenges and new opportunities. New approaches are needed. We must:

Break the cycle of one-party government

Listen to County residents and employees

Strive for continuous improvement

Dear Hunterdon County Voter,

The November election is rapidly approaching. I, Marty Siecke, of Delaware Township, am the Hunterdon County Democratic party’s chosen candidate for Hunterdon County Freeholder.

A county resident for over 30 years, I am committed to continuous improvement in the county governing process.

As your Freeholder on the Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders, I will strive to:

  • Ensure Fiscal Responsibility through effective zero-based budgeting and facilities management. Management systems; and energy management, especially county buildings, are areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Preserve Open Space to maintain our county’s rural character by taking maximum advantage of all programs which provide funding.
  • Stop Sprawl Prohibit sprawl from poorly planned development. Apply sensible planning methods and “Smart Growth” concepts to minimize the loss of open space. Preserve our scenic vistas.
  • Ensure Safe Drinking Water Address the issues of potential well contamination by septic systems and too closely spaced development
  • Strive to Mandate Developers Pay for the Required Infrastructure New developments must be required to pay for the costs of roads, schools, services, etc. so others in the community are not burdened unfairly with these expenses.
  • Enhance Farming Encourage successful farmers and animal operations. Provide input on issues facing farmers to minimize unnecessary regulatory burden.

I, Marty Siecke, am a long-term resident of Hunterdon County. I have been living with my family on a small farm for over 30 years. I am a licensed Professional Engineer (PE); a Certified Safety Professional (CSP); a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA); and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). In Delaware Township, I have served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for eleven years; the Sergeantsville Municipal Treatment Utility Authority; the Zoning Review Committee; and the Cross-Acceptance committee (a committee formed to aid the various township committees to function compatibly). My career and management experience as a leader for engineering, operations, and environmental, health and safety, well prepares me to work hard for Hunterdon County needs and interests.

Sincerely, Marty Siecke
